Comments Thread For: Canelo: Mayweather Ran From Maidana, Took No Risks

Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs) was not overly impressed with Floyd Mayweather's twelve round decision win in his rematch with Marcos Maidana on September 13th.

Last September, Canelo suffered his first career defeat when he lost a twelve round majority decision to Mayweather (47-0, 26KOs) at catch-weight of 152-pounds.

Mayweather holds the WBC/WBA world titles at 147 and 154-pounds.

I agree that's a Mexican holiday. Mayweather will take huge hits to his sales going up against Ginger.

That would be his only way to not lose major PPV sales. But he has to put his fear of Pac aside.

It was a cheap win by Floyd full of running and holding but a win nonetheless. Floyd did himself no favors by fighting like that.

I hear Clowns here say Canelo will only sell 300K to 400K okay Mayweather has been selling 700k to 900K take 400K from that and Mayweather left with 300k to 500k so what does that mean well Showtime takes a huge loss so Mayweather not going to be able to fight the Jokes of Amir Khan type fighters he's not going to be able to cry over gloves cause people will be turn off by that and go order Canelo over Mayweather or Showtime will just have to move those fights to another day. Maybe they'll say we have to move the Amir Khan fight to another date do to Ramadan but that was never the case before. It was like take or leave it
