    Espinoza: Rejected Joshua Clottey for Canelo because he wasn't credible

    @ChrisMannixSI
    Espinoza said he initially "outright rejected Josh Clottey. We didn’t feel he was anywhere near credible." Accepted only after HBO did."

    What is this guy smoking? He signed off on Salka/Garcia but didn't want to sign off on Clottey?

    He's lying. HBO probably made a better offer and took Canelo away from Sho so he trying to save face.

              But authorized Salka and Santana.

              Seems legit and not salty at all.

                This, and I think it's really classless of a TV exec to publicly **** on a fighter like that.

                  I'm not saying Espinoza is lying because you shouldn't approve Clottey for Canelo.

                  That said, if you approved salka and LSC's ppv opponent then you really look rather foolish taking that stand with Canelo-when he is going to make your network far more money those 2.

                    Espinoza is so deep in it. Losing Canelo was his power play.
