LOS ANGELES-Golden Boy Promotions Founder Oscar de la Hoya, HBO Sports President Ken Hershman, and superstar boxer Canelo Álvarez today announced a major new agreement to showcase the fan-favorite fighter's matches on HBO Sports.
"For all of my career, I have wanted to fight on HBO for one main reason-I believe it will allow more of my fans to see me in action," said Álvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs). "Today marks a huge milestone for me, and I look forward to a long and successful partnership with HBO."

Canelo has already been exposed as a limited fighter. I like the kid and he does have some skill but his two biggest wins weren't all that impressive. I mean as far as action goes. Sooner or later Canelos going to get knocked off and after a few losses his fans will bail on him like they bail on all their fighters.
Fl0mos becoming fantards of networks/promoters etc is the epitome of phaggotry.Comment

Showtime has to feel salty..
They invested a lot of time and resources into canelo and now they are gonna miss out on the canelo-cotto fight which will be a monster PPv... At least they got Floyd-canelo, but it must hurt knowing the youngest PPv star in boxing heading towards the peak if his career just leaves for your rival..
They've missed out big time.
The 'investment' in Floyd is looking more and more wasted as time goes on.Comment

Canelo is a KO artist that is news to me.
These fighters shouldn't be exclusive to a particular network. It limits the match up posibilitiesComment
