I'd slightly favor Pac in a rematch, but my money will be on Barrera

Awesome Any fight with the Pacman is entertaining to watch and Barrera is such a great fighter too.

Never dismiss either fighters capabilties because with these two you never know.

i dunno, i feel like if barrera is able to work the jab and the straight like morales did in the first fight he'll take this one.

i dunno what happened to morales in the rematch, he couldnt block the straight left and wasnt using his jab in the later rounds. IMO, that hit in the second round took his legs from him and he just couldnt put any steam on his punches.

I think this will happen next year 2007. Pacman has signed a contract for his next fight in the Philippines this june, after that he will face Erik Morales.

                    ^_^

That's also what I believe. Technically Morales would have gone down in the 2nd round if he didn't hold onto the ropes. That means his mind shut down for afew seconds. He never recovered fully from that. It's just like when Marco went down in the 3rd round. He never recovered fully from it. The force sends a vibration through your whole body that seems to just weaken everything. Your legs feel heavier and you can't throw as strong as you know you normally can. Manny was smart by trying to land that left early in the fight with knockout force to get Erik in this state. It's what really set things up vs Marco from that 3rd round on.
Now as far as rematch goes. Marco has been preparing for Chavez so he's in shape no doubt as we speak. Now if he gets the green light on Manny, this will make him CONTINUE TRAINING until the fight while Manny hasn't. I'm sure Barrera is taking this into account that it could help increase the stamina he's going to need against Manny. He was dead tired vs Morales in the 3rd fight in that final round and even let the fight slip after the 6th round. He can't afford to do that against Manny. Erik seemed to always be the better in shape of the two, and Manny at his best outworked Morales. If Barrera can't deal with stamina alone, he won't be able to survive the later rounds. Though this is again hoping Many doesn't come in over confident and begins training ASAP if the fight is confirmed. Barrera will come into the fight I believe with the conditioning edge so far.
