            If either party could terminate the deal without financial/legal repercussions then what is the point in having a contract?

            Now, I'm no economic or law student, but I think its a bit more complicated for either party to exit the deal than to just say "Well, this isn't working out as well as anticipated, let's just shake hands and go our separate ways"

              All depends on the "cancellation or termination clause" of the contract...
