It's funny how everyone is writing Algieri off because he's not a big name.. yet. Chris has all the physical advantages and tools needed to beat Pac, as well as the style.. And STYLES is what makes fights. I remember Mosley giving Pac fits just by utilizing a ton of movement, the problem is he got scared to let his hands go after Pac dropped him. Pac is an inside outside fighter, he comes in a blazing with lighting quick combinations and gets out of harm's way a.s.a.p. Really all Algieri has to do is keep Pac on the outside by utilizing his height and reach advantage. Chris has to work the jab constantly, NEVER stop moving his feet, be intelligent and he'll be ok. He has the stamina and the toughness to get through the kind of pressure Pac will attempt to apply on him. And even if Chris wins, it doesn't mean Pac is shot.. Just means that Chris is a lot better then most of you seem to be giving him credit for. All the pressure is on Pac here.. High risk/Low reward situation.

Well let's see how the additional fight night weight would benefit algieri, a much bgger dude than Pacquiao. He could possibly have more power behind those jabs and upper cuts with the added weight. We'll see.

Yeah the reason is because he beat the guy Pac was originally going to fight, Ruslan Provodnikov. Pac should be the favorite for the obvious reason that he is the more established proven fighter, but like I said before.. Styles make fights. And whether or not Algieri is "good enough" is yet to be determined.. We'll find out in November.

Bradley outboxed him in the 1st fight

I'm interested to see how pac handles Chris's movement, but if all Chris has is the jab he's in trouble. Manny is an underrated counterpuncher, and is very good at countering the jab

Chris actually a very intelligent combination puncher as weell and does mix it up by going to the body. He wouldn't have been able to keep Ruslan off of him if all he had was a jab.

a guy that big gaining weight can only benefit him physically

pacquiao is also essentially the same size as ruslan so nothing new for algieri, he's even fought at 144 before

What do you mean by kept ruslan off? I'm pretty sure ruslan kept coming at him, I don't recall him hurting ruslan. Unless you have the power and intelligence of jmm I don't think combination punching will help him much
