Fact of the matter is that Bradley was swinging for the KO shot by the midway point. Weather it was a bad game plan or because he was injured and unable to do his thing, we can only speculate.
But I DO know is that in that first (or was it the second?) round, where Bradley shook Pacquiao with that big shot at the end of round, I though Pacquiao was in serious trouble. I thought for sure that Bradley was going to try to outbox Pac, and occasionally hit him with one or two big shots to try and keep him tentative.
Bradley is a good fighter but Pacquiao is a much better fighter and he proved it twice. A third fight would probably be a good fight but Pacquiao would almost certainly win again unless there was some more incredibly bad scoring by the judges again. Like Mayweather, Pacquiao only has a few fights left so he can probably fight someone more interesting that Bradley. I'd like to see him have chance to pay Marquez back but Marquez wants to quit while he is ahead. Bradley would certainly be a more worthy opponent for Pacquiao than Algieri.
I can't speak on how others judge a fight, I can only go off of my judgement. I thought both fights were extremely competitve and close. But in all honesty, there was no way in hell Bradley was going to win on the score cards in the 2nd fight. He knew it, his corner knew it, and his fans knew it. One judge had the 2nd fight scored 118 to 110. I don't know what fight he was watching, but it proves that Bradley's team was right, he needed a KO to win it. That's the reason we got an uncharacteristic performance from Tim.
Why no one could see that Tim was truly injured, is beyond me. It was very noticeable after the 3rd round. But, Tim had his chance. I would rather see him go after Mayweather and some of the other top guys at welterweight. There is nothing else left to prove with Manny. A fight between the 2 will always be tight, but Bradley doesn't have the fan support to demand a 3rd fight and he doesn't have the "powers" backing him to win a decision if it did take place.
