He's right. That was basically Provodnikov's only good round.

I don't think that's what he's saying. He made a sloppy start and he's saying if he was sharper from the first bell, he probably could have shut Provodnikov out.
Although you could say that punch woke him up and actually caused him to fight the way he did for the rest of the fight.Comment

or you could say that this is some of the dumbest crap i've ever heard.
your opponent is allowed to punch you. it's an important aspect of the sport.Comment

does getting his face turned into a sexual orifice have nothing to do with his "bad start?"
"if only i didn't get knocked the f#ck out, i could have won the fight!"

Well the difference is of course that he won the fight and won it pretty easily after that first round. Poor comparison.Comment

red herring.
the important part of the post, that your opponent being allowed to hit you is an indispensable part of boxing, stands.
if andre ward weren't allowed to hit me, i'd have won the fight!
-froch, post-**** interview.
it sucks that that fight was so boring. i'd watch it twice a day, instead of once. froch just didn't have what it took to make a fight of it.
if you want to add to the excitement, you have to close your eyes and listen to the euro commentary. they acted like ward was getting tired, and froch was winning the rounds at the end of the fight
