Comments Thread For: Rey Vargas-Victor Terrazas WBC Eliminator in Play

Negotiations are ongoing to finalize a WBC super bantamweight eliminator between former champ Victor "Viking" Terrazas and dangerous Rey "King" Vargas. The winner would fall in line to challenge WBC champion Leo Santa Cruz.

Terrazas, a former WBC super bantamweight champion, possesses a professional record of 37 wins, 21 of these by knockout, in exchange for 3 losses and 1 draw. Vargas is undefeated with 21 wins, 18 of them by knockout, and he is trained by Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain.

Wait a minute.. wasn't Andres Gutierrez vs Hugo Ruiz supposed to be the WBC title eliminator? So which one is it.. Rey Vargas vs Victor Terrazas or Andres Gutierrez vs Hugo Ruiz?

Or do the winners for each fight face off against each other and winner takes a shot at the champion for the WBC World Title?

Either way I like both Rey Vargas and Andres Gutierez to win their fights respectively. If they face off then it's a bitter sweet fight for me with no clear favorite, but it would be a good way to weed out the prospect from the future champion. So much talent from Mexico right now constant clashes amongst up and coming prospects are bound to happen sooner than later.

I have Vargas, who has some real talent...Terrazas showed little when Leo blasted him out...how he got in2 consideration in a double title eliminator, don't 4 get Guitierrez's fight, only Sulaiman knows...
