What follows are the key guidelines and facts that will be your light in the dark, your resource in moments of doubt and despair. The point from where you reshoot your azimuth. Your stool where you rejuice for the next round.

With that said, this is intended to not expire but be updated from time to time by members with experiences, sound voices of wisdom, boxing fans with battle scars, as we preserve the place we love, NSB: both a sanctuary, and a battleground.

Guidelines, facts, and pointers to sucessfully maneuver NSB.
          (In no particular order)

-Cop an old school boxer avi, it boosts your credibility, and gives off the first impression of a knowledgeable boxing head.

-Wearing Floyd and Pac "gear" (avi, sig) is like wearing crip and blood colors in a neutral turf. Do so proudly! But be prepared to defend yourself.

-Develop a posting style that you find effective. If you can't post toe to toe, don't, post on the back foot and don't be afraid to jump on your bicycle - who cares what the crowd (other posters) says, if you don't have the chin or conditioning (green bar) you don't need to be taking those shots. On the flip side if you go through many wars you will be known as a fearless warrior.

-Stick to the main/sticky discussion threads. Ban Stick does not play. Follow the rules, it's that simple. Remember, you need all the ban strikes you have starting off for post wars, if you need to act a fool, go to the Boxing Scene Lounge where ignorance is tolerated full scale.

-If you make a points bet, pay up. Unless your name is larryx, you won't get away with it. Trust me.

-NSB is similar to prison in that who you know and who you roll with affect your respect and your survivial. Mayweather Mafia and Pacman Posse are the most dominant forces so being under them is the safes route, but you can always be a rougue and do your own thing. All in all, just rep your favorite fighter(s) hard, hug those nuts with all your might (while still trying to be objective, and have fun!

-Be prepared to back your scorecard up!

-If you get caught alt-ing, you will probably get banned.

-rockin'... apparently had his thumb in the vicinity of James Toneys anus.

-Never ask for illegal streams in a thread.

-Go out of your way to diss mma as an inferior combat sport on a regular basis.

          -follow @boxingscene

            LMAO....words of wisdom.

Also, if you are going to back a fighter, make sure that you have a built-in excuse ready just in case they lose. An example would be to say that a boxer was drained heading into the ring and wasn't himself.

The key is to build the credibility of the excuse BEFORE the fight gets here, start a few weeks out by constantly repeating how you heard something or read something somewhere that said the guy was slacking off in training. BUT, you have to say that you don't remember where you heard it or read it but confidently proclaim your story is the truth. Also, never provide nor attempt to provide, any evidence for your story because it will only serve as ammunition to some of the more seasoned posters here when they pick your story apart.

If you have to resort to using your built-in excuse, drop hints during the fight as well instead of waiting until after the decision. It's a very subtle tactic but it allows you to gently plant the seed over time so that it is more of an accepted idea instead of an excuse. Examples: rd 3 - "Man, he looks a little tired already, maybe having to lose the weight really did affect him", rd 5 - "Wow, I guess the reports from training camp were true"............you get the gist.

Finally, when you do use the excuse, you claim that you had said that the ENTIRE time and defend that position at all times. Make sure to remind people about how you were saying the weight was an issue (the built-in excuse) and bring up your posts from the weeks leading up to the fight as evidence before onlookers have a chance to do a search for your posts saying the opposite - this will likely thwart the counter attack.

Hey, I know we have just covered a lot of material here but keep your head up. This is a dog-eat-dog forum but you will learn the ropes fast...

From my short stay here I can chime in on a few things especially since I'm new and have experienced the recent stuff.

                  1. If you're a Mayweather, Ward, BHOP, or Broner fan, and express it in any possible way, prepare for an eternal life of "red karma". I personally don't mind it, I knew right away I'd piss off the Manny fans once they saw my avatar of me and Floyd.

                  2. Prepare to have people so ****** that they try to tell you what race you belong to. I've had people telling me that I am black, presumably because I'm a Floyd fan. This is news to me, I always thought I was 100% ***ish. I do have large quan****** of swag though.

                  3. "Green Karma" literally means nothing. Guys like beerclues and pacboy can be in red it tell you what you need to know.

                  4. Most of the level headed posters here are Floyd fans. Guys like Deadlikeme, Reloaded, WESS, aarramis, THE REED, Big Dunn and so on.
