Comments Thread For: Groves Doubts Froch-DeGale Showdown Will Come Off

EBU/WBC silver super middleweight champion George Groves is not convinced that a fight between Carl Froch and James DeGale will happen. DeGale is the IBF's mandatory challenger to Froch, who also holds the WBA's "regular" title at 168-pounds.

Groves handed DeGale, an Olympic gold medal winner, his first and only pro career defeat. And Froch's last two ring appearances were knockout victories over Groves.

Froch vs DeGale either in Nottingham Forest Stadium or O2 Arena hardly looks like Wembley.

Hearn will be the one pushing for the fight I doubt he will fight Chavez.jr as he has promotional issues and he might be tempted by Del la hoya to fight Canelo instead which will be much better for him.

Ugly Kid is hoping it doesn't come off

What goes around, comes around. DeGale is in line to face Froch whilst he's struggling to beat journeymen for the European title.

Groves needs to let the Froch talk go now..especially the bitter comments. He's not doing himself any favours, as there isn't going to be a 3rd fight.
He's got a World Title shot against Dirrell on the horizon; he should focus on that as it's a very winnable fight for him IMO.

As for Froch, he is always the talk of the division. Ward beat him, yet constantly talk about him..Groves loses to him and constantly talk about him.

Do you know Degale personally? If not, calling Groves "ugly kid" is some proper stan behaviour lol

On topic tho, this quote is old and was from about two weeks ago. Groves should do himself a favour and just go about his business for a while, he has a very decent fan base. Then maybe pipe up again if he does manage to beat Dirrell and holds a alphabet title.

DeGale's opponent for the European title was far better than that bum Groves fought at the weekend.

Groves is declining while DeGale is moving up in the world.

Doesn't sound salty at all. Sadly, I want Groves to do well as well, because the rematch between the two have to make sense for both.

Both fighting each other after beating the champions they are soon to fight would be a dream.
