The best thing to happen to combat sports was Knockout Bonuses. The best thing about that little extra money a fighter gets for winning by KO makes it a little tougher to bribe judges.
Ko bonus is different. But 40/40 with 20 to the winner is a recipe for robberies

I haven't thought that far ahead with a 40/40 and 20 to the winner. How is it a recipe for robberies?

Because there's open money for a fighter to get. If it's 40 mil for Floyd and 40 mil for PAC. That extra 20 mil is a lot and up for grabs. The promoters or managers would do damn near everything they could to grease some pockets. If they have their money agreed to before the fight then the only incentive (for the managers ect) is to get the win. Money is the root of all evil after all especially in boxing lol

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

From a money making stand point and the integrity of sport, I see the concern. But as a fan, I could care less because if somebody gets robbed it really has no effect on who I believed to be the winner. e.g.. Bradley robbing Pacquiao in their first fight meant nothing to me because I knew who really won, I placed no bets and I wasn't getting paid any of the millions those guys were making.

oh, and the quote is actually, "THE LOVE of money is the root of all evil". Somewhere in history it was interpreted as "Money is the root of all evil" and this caused millions of good people to shun fortunes and wealth and strive for a life of poverty because they believed acquiring money was evil.

I think he will always be with either roger or sr or even jeff.. I would be shocked if he went with another trainer that wasn't a mayweather

Maybe if Floyd suffered a bad loss, then I could see him maybe switching trainers.. That seems like the time when most fighters change trainers, it's hardly ever when they are on a winning streak, especially an 18 year long win streak...
