WBO interim-featherweight champion Orlando Salido (42-12-2, 29 KOs) says the best decision that Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (34-5, 31KOs) can make is to retire from boxing. Juanma has suffered bruising knockout losses in three out of his last four fights.

Salido handed Juanma the first defeat of his career in 2011 with an eight round TKO. The fight was an absolute war and they went to war for a second time in 2012, with Salido winning once again by TKO in the tenth.

JuanMa showed a lot of heart against Salido but seems to have never recovered. He's gone backwards technically, is too static and too easy to hit, and unless he can work out how to move his head then he is going to be a kayo waiting to happen in any future fights.

Teaching old dogs new tricks? Probably time to hang them up.
