Pacquiao give Marquez a look after round 1 of their first fight....

I remember watching this fight and after the first round where the Pacman knocks Marquez down 3 times and manages to complete the round the Pacman looks at Marquez with disbelief lol.. like ''how did I not finish him'' to think this would be a defining fight series years later for both guys after such a dominant first round for the Pacman is crazy.

That fight is odd when you go back to watch it, Marquez reacted in a way that could have prompted Cortez to stop it. Marquez looked to get back up after the 3rd knock down but instead decided to lay flat on his back with both hands on his face, all out of frustration. Glad all went well, great series it turned out to be.

turning point of the decade and two legends. I am shocked the fight wasn't stopped. JMM was hurt and looked like he was done. If Cortez stops it when JMM closes his eyes and covers his face, he gets zero criticism. If JMM just stays down, he gets zero criticism.

Instead he got up and became a legend. Huge credit for Cortez for letting it happen.

And some boxing fans are still wondering why Pac refused the blood testing without 30 day cut-off. Been voicing my opinion that Pac was not using some sophisticated shakes or PEDs but the good old meth (or probably *******) in limited doses for additional strength and stamina, the way doctors performing delicate operations lasting for several hours are sometimes given limited doses for, you guess it ...

And to be honest marquez didn't look like he was out of it. It just looked like he was about to quit and then changed his mind, got up and turned the fight around. Crazy.

Yep, the mistake that could have killed this epic series. Insane when you think about it.

Marquez still has Timothy Bradley problems. No way Marquez deserves a 5th fight with Pacquiao unless he avenges his loss to Bradley
