I assume many will say the second Schmeling fight, due to political pressure on both fighters at the time and to avenge his only loss at the time.

I have to go with the obvious with the rematch with schmelling. It's hard for anything to supercede this given the time frame and politics behind it.

True, Louis should have had a much easier time, but conn was no slouch, and got Louis on one of his worst nights, and Louis still found a way to win.. I always like those types of performances, where you struggle and look beatable but still find the way to win..
