Darley Perez will make the first defense of his interim-WBA lightweight world title against Jaider Parra on October 24th at the Coliseo de la Uninorte in Colombia. Parra (23-1-1, 12KOs) has won three in a row since getting stopped in the fifth round by WBA super featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama in the fifth last May. Perez (30-1, 19KOs), who won the belt by beating Argenis Lopez in June, has won two in a row since suffering his first career loss last June to Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa.
