New Keith Thurman interview speaks on kell brook, maidana, more

Thurman is definitely growing on me. I used to dislike him when he went on that press conference tirade calling out paulie. But he seems like a genuine dude and has more on his mind than just making some money from boxing it seems he wants to leave behind a legacy.

"My dreams have already come true man, we're just gonna stack a few belts in the next few years to make these dreams even bigger"

    -Keith ONE TIME Thurman

Every boxing fan should get behind Thurman and support him, he's one of the most genuine guys in boxing. He's in it for the fans and for his legacy, he doesn't care about the money.

'I'm a pride fighter, not a prize fighter' is one of my favourite Thurman quotes.

I like Thurman and believe he will own the WW division in due time. However, I take exception with the term "Genuine" being used as a prefix for the statement "he doesn't care about the money". Thurman does care about the money and he cares about getting paid for his efforts .... Just like every other boxer.

Essentially, its OK to hype Thurman because he does deserve it, but let's keep the BS in the bleachers.

Perhaps 'doesn't care' was the wrong term, but he's more concerned about building a legacy than how much he makes. He's not one of those 'I'll fight him for the right money' guys.

Totally agree ... I just think it best to keep it real where Thurman is concerned, because he is real .... And I want him to succeed.

Guys on NSB continuously make outlandish claims about certain\other boxers, in an attempt to elevate their actions to the level of some noble. Thurman doesn't need that BS, he just needs guys to fight him and the truth will be revealed.

Obviously he wants money he needs it to make a living of course. I guess I should have said that his driving force seems to have a deeper purpose than just making money.
