he hooked up with a shady dude, and his legs make a miraculous recovery at 37 years old?

    yeah, right.

floyd mayweather is financially motivated. he spends money like a billionaire, and he's not a billionaire.

he'd be an idiot not to extend his career with drugs.
I would have to disagree. I see where you're coming from in terms of his side to side movement along the ropes, but I thought Floyd's work became quite laboured early on in this fight.

He's probably been on gear for years though. The whole 'hardest working fighter in boxing' thing and the anti-doping crusade will look as ridiculous as some of Armstrong's statements when it all comes out.

That's one of the primary risks in hiring Ariza imo, he's a loose cannon and if there's any dodgy dealings at the Wildcard or Mayweather's gym, he'll spill it all in the end.

      "quite labored?"

what did you call the first maidana fight, where he was laboring off of the ropes?

heredia develops them, in addition to administering them.

heredia begets ariza, which begets floyd mayweather's legs doing a 180 at age 37.
He's always had very, very good legs. He runs like crazy year-round. It's just that he hasn't really had opponents where he needed to use his legs. It's not a strategy that he uses much. Even earlier in his career, he didn't move that often, and only against particular opponents that had a troublesome style.

Didn't he want a KO this fight? So he's juicing for stamina, and not power? Switching hand wrap guys because of his brittle hands? That's strange...

              This guy above says it.

Hectari went into great detail talking about this in another thread, I forget the name of it. I'm sure he would've came here and repeated the information, but I think he got banned recently, hah.

But yeah, he was talking a lot about that chick Teri Tom and how she's really the mastermind behind what Ariza does. That she works at UCLA, etc.

Yes, also for those who dont know, look at this brief description of what he had Pac doing along with many of his fighters.

"The regime created by Ariza to build that muscle and maintain the speed and power involves two parts. The first is what he refers to as “core training,” a phrase which has become a bit of buzzword in the last few years in the world of exercise and nutritional training, but is seldom heard in boxing. The “core” may sound like it means just abdominals, but it goes much deeper than that. The “core” is the whole area between the shoulders and the pelvis. The idea behind strengthening the “core” is that this area provides the foundation for all other areas of the body to function at its highest levels. Core training thus builds the muscles to produce explosive, powerful movements with mean and lean efficiency, and less likelihood of injury.

To accomplish this, twice a week, Ariza has Pacquiao doing punishing isometrics, where he has to hold a certain position for an extended period of time. In addition he has Pacquaio performing plyometrics, grueling drills involving quick bursts of energy, such as sprints on the track, high intensity cone and ladder drills, even swimming.

“We’re focusing on faster-twitch muscle fibers,” Ariza says, “getting them to fire, feet complimenting the hands, hands complimenting the feet, balance, coordination. “

The exercises are often mind numbingly repetitious and painful beyond imagination. Ever the warrior, Pacquaio says he doesn’t mind core training, but Ariza said that in reality, he actually hates them."
