Head Punches Might One Day Be Illegal In Boxing?

I'm imagining a world where head punches are banned from boxing because they are seen as too "inhumane" by wider society, there have been boxing-related deaths as a result of head punches.. so what happens - only body punches allowed, or even punches "bellow the balls" to the legs?

Could boxing one day transform into that sport, where head shots are banned? Imagine that!

Wouldn't be surprised if that's Mayweather's next condition for the Pacquiao fight

More people die racing cars and doing those other sports like skiing, bikes, bmxs etc. There lot's of sports where people die much more than boxing, they would have to ban a whole bunch of sports before it came to boxing

Don't let the facts get out the way, boxing is actually safe, fighting in the street isn't!

The safety of a sport is not just determined on the risk of death.

The main problem with boxing, is that the brain is rather fragile, and getting punched in the head for a living, have serious long term heath compilations.
Most brain specialist strongly advice against boxing for that reason

If that happened boxing would be dead. I have been a huge boxing fan and an army boxer and I wouldn't watch that even for free. It won't happen as long as mma is popular with 4 ounce gloves and kicks to the head legal.

highly doubt head punching would ever become illegal it's a moronic thread due to that, however the more realistic option would be that in the future there'd be some sort of headguard mandate where you'd need to wear a headgear of some sort.
