Virgil Hunter permanently ruined Mares. Don't care for it anymore.

That would be a good fight, but LSC should really fight Rigondeaux, Frampton or Quigg before moving up in weight - I assume that fight would happen at 126.

I think he is comfortable at either weight. He said so on the spanish program "A Los Golpes". Mares is thrilled to return later on this year and will most likely fight Leo during the first half of 2015.

Personally I think Mares hit his limit in weight. He won't have the power to hurt anyone at 130 and is quite small for anything above 126. Dropping back down to 122 and re establishing himself at Super Bantamweight seems like the best path. Frampton, Leo,Rigo, Quigg and many up and comers as well as a few Bantams coming up in weight shortly.

Even at 126 I feel like Mares is not in a proper weightclass. 122 is optimal for him in my opinion but he does have the choice to jump between weights for major fights comfortably, which is great for any fighter to be able to do.

IMO 122 is where mares needs to be

Mares definitely strikes me as a 122 fighter. FW looks too big for him.
