Left out Felix Sturm, in which GGG was his mandatory and they were promoted by the same company, which would have been a big fight in Germany. Of course GGG and Cotto are on the same network. And let's not forget DiBella was totally willing and able to put Martinez in fights with other promoters (since he did, regularly).

Of course. Too bad Chavez rejected the fight, Kessler said he'd like to fight him, but not now, Ward isn't fighting and Froch hasn't expressed interest either.

His fans would also make more noise if he beats Cotto or Canelo, but the respect for him will go further down from those who want to see him fight a challenging guy and not former Jr WW's/WW's/small/shorter guys than him.
Cotto, the lineal middleweight champion. And Canelo, a guy who often fights above 154, rehydrates into the 170's and is virtually the same size as GGG. Of course he would get respect if he beat those guys

Okay, not to make it a Mayweather-Pac debate, this is not what this post is about, just a weight example. Who would you say would be the bigger man in the ring, 135lb Pacquiao who rehydrated to 147lbs vs David Diaz or the Mayweather who fought Judah at WW and came in weighing 147lbs on fight night. Would you say if those two versions meet, that they are the same size? Mayweather weighing in a muscular, trim, healthy 146lbs and Pacquiao weighing a muscular, trim, healthy 135lbs but going up 12lbs of water and food. Is it the same? muscle vs dogging down liquid/food?

Another example, would you say Clottey who weighed in 170lbs vs Pacquiao at 147lbs, is the same size as a 160lb Golovkin who rehydrates to 170lbs?

My question is, will his fan base grow dramatically or do you see a little bump in his fan base?
I imagine if a triple OG fought in the barrio against a Cholo and won...he may be jumped and disliked even more.

But like bad publicity it's all good.

GGG's fanbase will only grow if he challenges himself. Rubio is not a challenge. The challenges reside at SMW, but GGG is currently interested in the safety of the MW division. That is why he only drew 750K viewers for his last fight.

The hell are you blabbing on about? None of these comparisons have nothing to do with anything. Whatever point You're trying to make was a miserable attempt.

Cotto = 160 lineal champion. Would GGG get respect for beating him? Quote obviously being Cotto would be his best opponent to date.

Canelo fights at and above 154. He's nearly identical in size to Golovkin.

Another example, would you say Clottey who weighed in 170lbs vs Pacquiao at 147lbs, is the same size as a 160lb Golovkin who rehydrates to 170lbs?
Again, Canelo fights at or above 154. Not 147. Bad example yet again.

                    I think it will.

West Coast fight against Mexican boxer...with a very anticipated co-feature in Donaire-Walters.

Big event for someone who's fought primarily on the East Coast and Europe.

Tickets sold very fast for this one.

Plus, look at the pre-November...there's not much else there.

His fan base will grow steadily, but not dramatically.
