I agree with Mares doing a lot better than Leo against Rigo but you simply can't compare Moreno and Rigo. Unlike Moreno, Rigo has real power that would threaten anyone trying to apply pressure on him. If pressure is to be applied it most be intelligent and behind accurate punches. Rigo would pick apart a fighter coming straight at him so I think the fighter must shift gears and know when to pressure or defend, and Mares is very capable of doing that. The thing about Mares that would put him ahead of many fighters when facing someone like Rigo is the fact that Mares is a jack of all trades and king of none. Which would put him at an advantage over a counterpunching technician such as Rigo. If Rigo is beginning to time Mares in a specific fighting style he can adjust and shift gears in order to surprise Rigo and throw him for a loop. However, that feat is easier said than done. Since Rigo is a brilliant boxer and has immense power in both hands.

it would be a good scrap and you never know. styles make fights and mares really can put pressure. especially with body shots the i think would catch rigo when he would try giving mares angles.

Mares better get his mind right before he even thinks about getting in the ring with Rigo. He looked not so good last time out. Rigo always beats Mares in my eyes. Sure, he would have done a little better before Jhonny separated his soul from his body but he still would have lost.
