excellent read, bozo...I particularly enjoyed this part

Toney’s wife was tall and beautiful, and James Jr. bounced playfully on her lap pointing at his dad and smiling. I pulled out my camera and snapped a quick photo. Apparently, this was the wrong move. Toney’s attention shifted immediately to me like I had awoken an idle grizzly bear.

“Who the **** are you?” he yelled out. The entire gym stopped and everyone turned their attention to Toney and myself.

“Ace Freeman, from FightFan.com”

“FightFan.com, hey? Who let you in here”? He was starting to sound more and more upset with each word. I looked over at the security guard who’d let me in, and he looked suddenly afraid.

“Uhh, I did JT” said the security guard sounding hesitant.

“Gimme that camera” Toney said as he walked over to me and snatched it from my hand. “Who told you to take pictures in here?” I stood speechless. Toney looked to the security guard. “Get him out of here”.

“With or without my camera?” I said with some concern brewing.

“Without. "

Inside James Toney's Training Camp



It was a sunny mid February afternoon in Los Angeles as I walked up the steps of the famed “Wild Card Gym” on Vine Street in Hollywood. It was my first time visiting Freddie Roach’s renowned gym and I was excited to see whom I might find upon entering.

At the top of the stairs I reached a closed door with a sign that read “Wild Card Closed from 1:00 to 3:30 for private training camp of James Toney. No admittance, no exceptions”. Never one to be discouraged, I walked right in.

I was met in the entranceway by a large security worker who stepped in my way. “Who are you” he asked. “My name is Ace, and I’m from Fightfan.com, the boxing website. I was hoping to catch some of JT’s camp”. I handed him my card and he quickly studied it. “All right man, you can come in”. He stepped aside and the view of the entire gym was spread out before me.

Man I cant wait for Toney to make a joke out of the already a joke Rahman, this is going to be interesting for Toney because we will see Toney get beat bad by a big man. All respect for Toney but he should have stayed in shape and dominated his division instead of getting fat and out of shape. Dont get me wrong it's obviously working of him somehow but damn just stay in your own division.

I read today that he said he doesn't care what people think about the weight he comes in at. As long as it's below 240, he shouldn't have a problem.
