Because he's scared of Andrade. He's too slick and Canelo can't cut off the ring. He was also wobbled by Cotto's little bro so Andrade might even knock him out.

That Jose Cotto fight was over 4 years ago when Canelo was only 19. That's a pretty weak card to play at this point. If Andrade brought any real money to the table, nobody would be "scared" of him. Anyway he's fighting for a 160 lb title because that's the division Andrade belongs in.

Most fighters face cab drivers but yes he did face many cab drivers and was protected.... jose cotto, matthew hatton, baldomir... and they critque andrade for fighting light oppo at this pt in his career...
