3G ko's Rubio within 8. We know Rubio has a chin but his age is showing big time.

I didn't think Geale or Macklin would offer much resistance (one reason I never wanted to see the overrated Martin Murray in the ring with Golovkin, he'd be a complete sitting duck).

Steve Kim interviewed Loeffler last week, Tom mentioned they want 4 fights next year and sounds like the next would be back in Monte Carlo Feb/Mar. Don't think the Korobov/Lee winner will be ready (or if Saunders/Eubank will be mando). Any rate it sounds like another typical GGG opponent situation with no real challenging fights on the horizon. N'Dam will sit and wait for Quillin to kill Taylor. Murray seems logical with it being in Monte Carlo, but I'd rather see Murray (WBC Silver) fight Macklin who has a WBC eliminator and the winner of that fight the Saunders/Eubank/Korobov group.
Good to hear that he's planning to fight 4 times. I assume that he'll fight Chudinov (WBA #1) in Monte Carlo, followed by the Lee/Korobov winner in May/June.

Rubio doesn't see past the 4th round. I actually have him getting knocked down / out in 2.

Golovkin takes care of him by KO in the 3rd. I'd rather see Golovkin fight world class fighters twice or even once a year rather than watch him feast on bums 4 times a year but no one seems willing apart from Ward, who can't even get a fight nowadays due to arbitration and all that

Those fights, especially Lee, are pointless as well. GGG either has to wait for the Canelo/Cotto winner or just move up.

It'll be a pointless belt though since the guy he would beat would be regarded as a belt holder rather than a champ. Even if he fights Canelo/Cotto he'd be a heavy favorite. It would still be a good fight because he would be fighting an elite guy with a proven track record, but honestly GGG should just move up and challenge himself.
