You are right, its good to see manny doing his job to hype a Floyd fight. But unless he actually signs its clear all he is doing the usual use Floyd's name to hype a fight.

It would be a good test, but thurman is still green we have to see him in their with an established top 10 guy to see how he reacts and how he preforms before we can say he is a legite threat to mayweather....you ever hear the term too much too soon?

It could be, but you have to give the kid a chance and so far none of the bigger names are willing to do so. Thurman is 25 now and I believe Floyd was even younger when Genaro Hernandez gave him that chance. Floyd's only got two fights left from what he says.. Why not give the young, undefeated fighter that nobody wants to fight a chance to prove himself?

For me personally, a win over Thurman would be more credible win then a win over Amir Khan who hasn't proven a thing yet in the division.

No, mak we've just seen it all before. Manny disses floyd, sounds confident, sounds like fight will happen, you and the flock get giddy on NSB, manny is all smiles, speaks clear English during the 1st few post fight questions. then when Merchant asks the inevitable question-we get the poor pauper, broken English, "tal to my promotahh" BS.

This is why I think Wilder is screwed. Too much too soon. Huge jump in competition can ruin careers, better to test yourself with tough fights that slowly get harder with time.

Yeah but in the heavyweight division you can become star overnight....hes good with knockout power in both hands, And stiverne is a slow starter. If wilder can use his reach and skills he can upset stivern, but if he cant take stivernes punch hes in big trouble..there arent very many big fights at hw to be made, so we will allsee soon enough if wilder is more substance or hype... i hope he is the goods man.

Danny swift might move up and he brings an undefeated record with lineal titles to back him up, i think thats a fight alot of people want to see...why not have thurman fight khan or marquez or bradley or any of those guys, im sure they will fight him...porter just lost hed be willing to get back to where he was before the brook loss.

Wilder would be in a better situation if his team knew what they were doing. So many questions still unanswered because they botched his early career. Like you said were not even sure he can take a good punch.

Nah he has a real chance in that fight, floyd is declining so if danny were presented with the opportunity to fight floyd i would hope he would take it..garcia in may, pacquaio hopefully in september, then call it a career win or lose for mayweather.
