6 years is a long time for Floyd to duck Manny. Pacquiao has long ago agreed to all Floyd's laundry list of demands and Floyd hangs on to Arum is the problem. Please! Feb.2009 i believe, floyd /marquez was originally signed for july09 but got postponed..floyd announced his return the same day pac fought hatton.

Of course. Arum been wanted margarito to fight floyd, but what better way than to take the second best welterweight, cotto, and put him in there with a guy like margocheato. A win there would have been impressive. All the while floyd was the lineal ww champ. Would have been a fight for the undisputed champion at ww. I see your point as well though. Floyd made sure to retire fight after the ricky hatton fight.

You cant be the lineal champ if your retired... you fall off the rankings and the next guy emerges as the lineal, that was until floyd came back.

He didn't fight Cotto in 2008 because Cotto was promoted by Top Tank. And Floyd wasn't even fighting in 2008. The same reason that Pacquiao has been on the run for so long.
