Comments Thread For: Kovalev: Hopkins Talks, But I'll Send Him To The Moon

Dangerous puncher Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (25-0-1, 23KOs) is refusing to get ****** in to a war of words with Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins (55-6-2, 32KOs). The two fighters will battle in a much anticipated unification for the IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight titles on Saturday, November 8 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City live on HBO World Championship Boxing.

Kovalev seems a promising trash talker. I hope he doesn't completely ignore the war of words with Hopkins.

I like how Kovalev keeps it light and doesn't put things in threatening ways. He knows Hopkins is an asshat clown and will handle him accordingly. BHOP made a terrible miscalculation on this guy. He's got real problems on his hands. And the Alien is a ****** ass nickname. What a tool.

Kovalev is not a brawler like pavlik. Hopkins will have to be at his best when they fight.

only because there's no animosity here. in fact i get the impression that he's even a fan of hopkins

he showed that he has a mean streak with his antics relating to stevenson, sillakh and cleverly

Yeah, he got a bit testy but they poked the bear. Cleverly was dismissing him out of hand, Stevenson practically breached a contract and he must have had some Russian history with Sillakh. If Hopkins does something offensive, Kovalev may get nasty again. We will see. One thing I know is that Kovalev will be brutal in the ring no matter how the promotion plays out.

Looking forward to this one. Hoping against big odds that BHop doesn't play punch n' grab all night. I don't know what's more pathetic... Floydie's track meet or BHop's antics. Both of 'em are lameoids.

Very true. Good thing is I don't think Hopkins can pull that off for a full fight. He will get hurt, he will get dropped and will get stopped.
