Comments Thread For: Kid Galahad is Inspired By Kell Brook's Title Victory

London - European and Commonwealth super-bantamweight champion Kid Galahad admits that seeing close friend and stable-mate Kell Brook win the IBF world welterweight title last month in America has made him even more motivated to bring a world title of his own back to the Wincobank gym in Sheffield.

This Saturday night (September 20) at the Ponds Forge Arena, Galahad faces unbeaten Brazilian puncher Adeilson Dos Santos for the vacant IBF Youth super-bantamweight title. But next year he hopes to replicate Brook's success and strike gold.

You may or may not like Galahad. He and brook went to the same gym as amateurs but imo brook is more skilled. Galahad is too arrogant in comparison to brook

Galahad is a typical Ingle fighter; good movement, fast hands, attacks from unconventional angles and gets the other guy to waste heaps of energy when he tries to come forwards. A bit of a nightmare. And like most guys from there he's not short on confidence or shy about having some very good things to say about himself.

Be interesting to see whether Frampton or Quigg want to tangle with him, my guess is that they won't which is a bit of a shame. I reckon he'll have to do a good deal of waiting around just like Brook endured, it may even been longer because Galahad is with Hennessey rather than the all powerful Hearn team.
