This is professional boxing, there is an appropriate reaction for every action.

DO something about it, or lose.

Floyds coming in with a punch and holding? Then you do the same thing.

He's coming to hold, take a step back and hit him.

There's a game plan for everything.
Listen, if everybody thought like you, boxing would be like tango, a pair od divas holding and cheating because holding after you land a punch is for cowards, man without honor like Floyd. Also, I am sure you are not Latino therefore you dont know about machismo were men fight like real men and if you hug like a coward, you are not a man, period. The few Latinos that hold a lot are considered less than men. If you win by holding all night, you are considered a coward and even your friends will tell you that. In Latin culture, losing like a man is more respected than winning like a coward. Get it??

Exactly...Again there is no such thing as running in the ring..Not to mention Maidana was willing to engage in hard clinches and not fight out just as much as May was..I find it funny that Floyd is the only one getting the blame here..Maidana deserves some as well, yet get's none I wonder why..

No it would not..This is why you can see some people just don't understand this sport..Every fighter does not have the same skill set,so everyone brings something different to the table..Maidana was holding and not fighting out of clinches just as much as Floyd..It's not Floyd's fault he has footwork while Maidana is not only slow of foot but of hand, and he did not cu the damn ring off at all..This is not a street fight where your expected to stand and go toe to toe..This is boxing where you'll have fighters with all different kinda skill sets..You have to be ready for them(them, plural more then one different styles),not just the Karass and Lopez's..Flat foot fighters, but guy's who can move and show different looks..

This is boxing, your outlook is one you should have in the street..Not one that has any place in this sport..Oh and btw,Maidana was holding and not fighting out just as much as May..Not to mention he was not opening up or taking risk..Why nothing to say about that??I get it tho,May was suppose to take all the risk and help his opponent out..Fucck outta here..

              • There where times during the fight where both just stood still in the middle of the ring and didn't do anything and Floyd actually engaged the action and backed Chino and caught him.

If someone has made up their mind to run and has at least average footspeed than its impossible to cut of the ring. Textbook definition of cutting off the ring is by cutting off one direction by taking a hard step to the outside of your opponents foot and throwing a hard body shot. That doesn't work when your opponent can move 360 degrees

Even Pacquiao couldn't cut off the ring against Cotto and Pacquiao has way better footwork and footspeed.

And holding is against the rules period. Just because your opponent does it and gets away with it (cuz he hired a ref that only speaks english when hes fighting a Argentinian) doesn't make it legal or the right thing to do
