LOL...Jim Lampley’s show-closing criticism of Floyd Mayweather Jr. on the newest episode of his HBO show late Tuesday night left Lampley a target of widespread criticism on Twitter and other social media sites Wednesday.
The HBO blow-by-blow announcer asserted in his final comments on “The Fight Game With Jim Lampley” that there’s no place in boxing for Mayweather’s increasingly boorish behavior and added the sport’s pound-for-pound king couldn’t retire soon enough. Boxing fans and writers have denounced Lampley’s assessment as an agenda-driven attack because Mayweather, once HBO’s flagship fighter, performs exclusively on Showtime as part of a six-fight, 30-month contract he signed with CBS, Showtime’s parent company, in February 2013.

HBO is obviously still butt-hurt over Floyd's defection. The *****ing and moaning ain't a good look...Comment

Lol, i can't believe they got this piece of **** Michelle Beadle on this show not only does she not know anything about boxing, shes a huge hypocrite. After her crusade, calling out to Rice, Hardy and Floyd, to lose there jobs, maybe she should search Jim Lampley name and research a little about her new partner.Comment

I would bet that there were more people who bought the Mayweather/Maidana II PPV than there were who watched Lampley's show.
This is the same guy who said a few years ago when this show was on HBO that he couldn't give the KO of the year award to Juan Manuel Marquez for his KO of Pacquaio because of the allegations of steroid use by JMM. The only place there were any allegations of steroid use by JMM was on this message board by Pacquaio worshippers who were crushed when their god was KO'd. It was obvious that Lampley had rooted for Pacquaio in every fight and was butt-hurt by the KO loss. Now, he is teeing off of Floyd.
This is de****able and pathetic behavior from a man who is biased and should not be in the position that he is in.Last edited by big_james10; 09-17-2014, 05:26 PM.Comment

Good evening sir. I saw you made a comment that domestic abuse is a serious thing on another post. What do you think of HBO's handling of Mike Tyson throughout his career, and even bring him back to HBO after he came out of jail for the crime he was convicted of? Should they have banned him just like the NFL banned Rice, Peterson, and Hardy? Is Jim Lampley being hypocritical for A) violating a restraining order himself, B) Not being highly critical of Tyson in the same fashion? Should networks ban all fighters from televised fights if they are convicted of sexual abuse or domestic violence? I respect your opinions, and would like to hear your views.Comment
