Was Ellerbe qualified? No. From that perspective, I understand the move 100%.

What I don't like reading are these petty reasons. This really shouldn't be public knowledge at all. When everything goes through, a statement should be made that makes it sound both amicable and intelligent. But who am I to judge? Mayweather makes more taking a piss than I do in a month. But decision to get rid of a staunch employee and friend seems as if it came from way over his head and for a boxer who considers himself his own boss, that's a huge red flag.

We got other guys that can wrap. We got other guys that can do cuts. They might not be able to work cuts like Rafael, but we got guys that can wrap good. This bothers me a little. I remember Floyd saying at one time that Rafael saved his hands. That nobody has ever wrapped his hands like him before. Now all of a sudden it changes?? Floyd says " your pay won't change" but I don't think Rafa was tripping on that hence the "I've known you longer" comment I genuinely thing Rafa was hurt. Rafael is too old to be butthurt. He wants someone new, is having you work with lesser fighters but is giving you the same salary? Sounds like a good deal. I can understand Garcia being hurt but business is business and who cares as long as your bottom line doesn't change.

I remember when Bernard Hopkins got rid of long-time trainer Bouie Fischer. A lot of people were up in arms, particularly Bouie who felt like Hops was being disloyal. But Hops just felt like it was time for a change. ****, at least Mayweather is still offering Garcia a salary. The same one, no less. Bouie on the other claimed that Bernard stiffed him. It's business, at the end of the day. What's going on with Ellerbe however makes you shake your head.
