Mayorga is introduced…
Fernando: To fight Oscar, its something you’ve always wanted. Lets take a look at some of the words you said the last time you visited us.
[they go to video]
Mayorga: I want to fight Oscarde la hoya, I want to hit him real hard in his face.
Roxana (hostess): You want to disfigure his face? But why? He has a very handsome face.
Mayorga: Yes, because he’s a boxer who isn’t accustomed to getting hit. He likes to hit but not to be hit back. I want to face him to show him that boxing is a sport of hitting and getting hit.

Fernando: During the filming of the promo for this fight, you two almost got into a fist fight. You told Oscarmany things. Tell us your version because sometimes what we see on TV isn’t really what happened. What happened.
Mayorga: I told Oscarthat the man here was me and that he needs to respect me because I am the champion.
[they show a video of the scuffle: Mayorga is screaming to Oscartelling him to respect him.
…….“I am the champion, you are a nobody. Respect me, have respect for me, you owe respect to me. Don’t get closer to me because I‘ll hit you. Respect me.”……
-The camera crew and other people were separating them. Mayorga had a black robe and Oscarhad a burgundy with gold trim robe. Mayorgas was holding his WBC belt and pointing at it as he was screaming to Oscar. Oscarwas yelling something back but it was hard to hear. He was pointing at him but no words seem to come out of his mouth.-

Co-anchor: And all that fighting, arguing and pushing in the press conferences, is that real or its just acting to add zest to the whole thing and increase PPV buys?
Mayorga: It’s all real, it can’t be an antic. I don’t like Oscar. I’m going to break his face.
Fernando: But why don’t you like him? What did he ever do to you?
Mayorga: He’s never liked me and I’ve never like him. I’m going to represent all the latino crowd. I know they are going to support me. Oscardoesn’t know how to represent his race.
Fernando: Ricardo, obviously we like controversy… wait hold on… have the camera take a look at this (pointing at Ricardo’s neck) It says right here, “The Leader.” When did you get this done.
Mayorga: A long time ago.
Fernando: This conflict between you two, these words you guys exchanged, you even said you were going to kick him, what happens if all of a sudden you lose? That is always a possibility.
Mayorga: I cannot lose against him.
Fernando: Why?
Mayorga: Because my pants are bigger than his.
Co-anchor: But you might have a bad day Ricardo, it tends to happen you know.

Mayorga: Look at him, look at him, he hits like a girl.
Fernando: What do you mean he hits like a girl? He’s been champion eight different times, you think he’s going to hit like a girl; and he’s fought everybody.
Mayorga: [long pause] He’s only fought old men.
Co-anchor: You said you were going to tear his retina out and break a rib.
Fernando: Why do you want to pull his retina out of his eye? What so special about that?
Mayorga: So maybe he’d be less feminine, you get me?
Fernando: Uuuuuuuuugh… haha.. What did you say?
Mayorga: So he can stop being such a girl.
Fernando: Are you saying that because of his ‘inside the ring style’ or because he recorded that old Bee-Gees song? Well that’s a different thing.
Mayorga: No. Where’s my belt, I want to see my belt.
[they give him his WBC title belt]
Mayorga: Fernando, I am a champion and this is my title.
Fernando: Aha, ok, and you don’t’ believe he can take that away from you?
Mayorga: Never, hey bring in the title we ordered because my pants are the big ones.
[They bring in a small replica of the WBC belt, about the size of medium food plate]
Mayorga: (pointing at the small belt) This here, this is Oscarde la hoya.
Fernando: Take a look at what Oscarsaid here in ‘Republica Deportiva’ in 2004 before you fought Felix “Tito” Trinidad.
[they go to video]
Oscar: Mayorga has a very open style. He doesn’t throw combinations. He just throws wildly.

Fernando: In simple words, he said you fight like a nut.
Mayorga: He says a fight wild and like a street fighter. Can you imagine if I fought better? I’d kill him. This belt speaks for me. I am the champion, he’s a no one any more.
Fernando: What happened with you against Trinidad? I remember you were talking all this and that and, … what happened?
Mayorga: I didn’t take proper care of myself.
Fernando: Maybe your red tinted hair had an effect on you?
Mayorga: No
Fernando: Are you sure? Because that color didn’t look all that good on you. We were talking about feminine man and that red looked strange on you. There’s nothing wrong with that but it was kind of weird. Are you going to dye your hair again?
Mayorga: No
C0-anchor: Wasn’t it against Trinidad where you let him hit you flush on your face?
Mayorga: Yeah
[Fernando bursts out laughing]
Mayorga: Yeah, well… and you saw the result.
[Fernando busts out laughing again]
Fernando: I think it would be a good idea if you don’t do the same against Oscar
Mayorga: No, with Oscarit would be fine. I’ll give a few free shots. My lady hits harder than him. He’s finished, he’s a no one.
Fernando: We’ve heard a lot. That he’s finished, that he’s feminized, that his pants are small. All that will be seen in the ring.
Fernando: Have you ever needed to cancel a fight?
Mayorga: No, Oscarhas. He comes up with excuses that his hand hurts, his back. Not me.
Fernando: Who’s going to win and in what round?
Mayorga: I’m going to win within 4 rounds.
-Mayorga is about to leave the show and is walked off the studio by three fine female senators. The three senators and Mayorga disappear behind the stage. The Co-anchor yells, “hey! We can’t leave the senators alone with Mayorga in the back.” He sends the body-guard to bring back the female senators.
