I don't know where Arum got his numbers for the rematch. The first fight did much better than Pac vs. Bradley. It did better than Cotto vs. Martinez, and Canelo vs. Lara too. It's been a bad year for PPVs. Now let's see if Pacquiao vs. Algeri does better than Floyd vs. Maidana II.Comment

Oh damn! I was toasted too. My buddy paid for the fight, which I thought he said was $74.99. I just read that it was $77.99! The first fight cost $74.99, just four months ago! My point about the rip-off continuing has been made.Comment

People are getting disgusted with Arum using Floyd to promote Pac's mismatches....people getting disgusted with the verbal back and forths between both sides....look man, Rigo fought Flash, BHOP fought Dawson and Frankenstein is on deck....Swift fought Matthysse and Nelo fought Lara....how come Floyd and Pac haven't mixed yet?!?....people are disgusted with both sides...period!!Comment

Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, feels the boxing audience is starting to significantly reject the pay-per-view events involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. Arum, who promotes Mayweather's main rival Manny Pacquiao, says the WBC/WBA welterweight champion's buyrate numbers are dropping with every passing PPV event.
“His PPV numbers have been going down considerably. For example his numbers from the Maidana fight were considerably less than the first fight and less than Pacquiao did when he fought [Timothy] Bradley [rematch in April]," Arum told South China Morning Post.
