After Molina dropped Matthysse twice, people were saying Broner would never fight him. But now Broner vs the guy who beat Molina is a BS fight?

Seriously, why can't we just let a fighter be a fighter? OK, Broner is not the superstar he was hyped up to be. Does that mean he can't be a good fighter in his own right? What the heck is wrong with Broner vs Soto? It's not like Soto is leagues below Broner. I know most of you would like to see Broner KTFO'd again soon, but for the rest of us this is a perfectly acceptable and logical fight. Broner is clearly still a work in progress.

I don't know why they'd take the risk, as a loss would be a huge blow against Broner's earning potential. At least if he lost to Matthysse, the majority of fans would understand and probably still check for his fights. It has to hurt to know that his team no longer trusts him with elite competition.

No, it's reassuring. I like Broner, but let's face it, he can't beat elite competition as he is now. Opponents like Soto are exactly what he needs right now.

I'm torn about wanting Broner vs Matthysse next. On the one hand, I would really like to see Broner beat Matthysse and silence the haters. On the other, Broner is probably not ready, and I don't want him rushed back to facing top opposition.
