    The Khan/Brook/Mayweather situation

Khan wants Mayweather in May which is supposed to be when Brook fights Khan. Now Brook wants Mayweather in May because he has the belt to get back at Khan.

Mayweather retires next September and Khan can't fight in September 2015 for religion reasons also no one wants Khan to be Mayweathers last fight ever. There is also the chance Brook ends up losing the belt/getting beat which means Brook/Khan is not happening. Also Brook/Khan wouldn't happen until 2016 because a Stadium fight can only take place in the Summer.

How do you think all this plays out?

Does Khan/Brook happen in May/June as planned? Does Mayweather fight Brook or Khan? If not who does Mayweather fight next?

With Khan coming out the loser, one way or another.

I don't think Mayweather ever wanted to fight Khan, he may have gone through with it but I don't think he wanted it because it does nothing for his legacy. The way he knocked Khan's career in the post fight press conference to Mayweather-Maidana II gave me that impression. I'm certain he'd rather go for Danny Garcia or Kell Brook than Amir Khan.

It's a weird situation because Mayweather looks like he wants to get his last two fights over with quickly, and Cotto-Canelo may slow that down.

I doubt Floyd will fight Kell Brook.

Floyd is about to have his May date taken from him. He's not fighting Pacquiao so let's all just stop.

Brook was stabbed, lost a lot of blood

Hern said he'll be out for 6 months, personally i think he'll be out for most of 2015 and come back around the end of the year. His injury is pretty darn serious and he doesnt even know if he'll be the same again

Floyd doesnt have many options at 147 at the mo, he can wait and see if Alegrie pulls the upset or fight Khan or Garcia

If Khan loses his next fight, then Floyd will have to fight Danny Garcia. I cant think of anyone else...unless he is forced to fight Pac

Mayweather has knocked many fighter's careers from Arturo Gatti to Oscar to Shane Mosley.

He'll fight Amir Khan every day of the week over Kell Brook.

Well, Khan will just have to fight Mayweather in May and then Brook will have to fight him in September. That's the only way I can see it. But in the meantime, both Khan and Brook will need another big win before either gets a shot at Floyd. For Khan, I'd say Keith Thurman, as he's still one of the few undefeated champs at welterweight and has already gain a reputation as the "boogeyman" of the division. If Khan can get through Thurman, then he'll definitely earn a shot at Mayweather.

By that time, Brook will probably be back from his injuries and all he'll have to do is fight against either a well-skilled or a well-known opponent (like Alexander, Guerrero, Maidana, or if he's moved up by then, Garcia). If he wins, coupled with his victory over Porter and still being undefeated, then he'll no doubt earn a shot at Floyd in September. However, if Brook doesn't recover in time, then a match with Floyd is unlikely.

So Khan vs. Brook will likely have to wait until 2016.

I prefer Brook to defend his IBF title against Robert Guerrero and see if he can beat the Ghost more impressively than Mayweather did, and Khan, win or lose vs Floyd in May, can fight Brook later in 2015, provided Brook remains the IBF champion.
