Another website has posted Hopkins v Tarver is happening. If it does, who wins or do you even care?

I dunno. I'm gonna say Tarver, but I really don't know. I'm not sure how well Hopkins will do with the extra 15 lbs. Hopkins is a much slicker fighter than Tarver, and I think much better technically. I'm just not sure if he has the punch output or power at 175 to keep Tarver off him. At the same time, Tarver seems to have incredibly bad stamina, so I could see Hopkins hurting him late in the fight if he transitions to 175 well. The other thing is, Tarver is taking off a lot of weight for that fight, so Hopkins could gain an advantage if that hurts him. My heart hopes Hopkins will win, but I'd just take Tarver over him because I know he fights pretty well at 175 and he's got decent power, skills a good chin. If Hopkins was a little younger, and higher punch output, I'd pick Hopkins.

I hear Tarver is supposed to be around 210 for that Rocky movie. If Bernard fights him soon than Antonio would have to lose weight fast. Either way, I pick Hopkins to win because of his defensive skills and all around know how. Tarver is too old. Tarver is old in the sense that his skills are disipating. Hopkins is aged like a fine wine.

Even though Bernard is losing his skills, he is adaptable enough to defeat Tarver. As long as that extra 15 pounds contains some mucsle.

this fight is happening, but like the survey says who cares? and the same night cotto and paulie? bad timing for an old fight who know one cares about. i would rather see roy jones fight hopkins. holla that.
but who wins this fight? tarver is bigger than hopkins, longer and everything.

Me too. I feel that this is a good time for the fight. All the trash they've talked to each other over the years. If they want to fight then they better do it now.

hopkins will win by a wide UD, the only way tarver will win is if he lands a punch like the one in the 2nd jones jr fight & knocks hopkins out (which i cant see happening cause of b-hops good defense) it should be a good win to end a great career!
