Actually, Floyd sr was a crack dealer and sold crack to Floyds mother while she was pregnant with Floyd or something like that. Floyd has said this many times he brought up that his father turned his mom into a crack head and he hated him for that.

I believe Floyd sr and Roger and Jeff were all raised Jehovahs witness by their mom or something like that because not one of them drinks or does drugs.

He doesn't slur his words, but he has been affected by damage he took in the ring. When Mayweather Sr. was younger, he answered questions way faster. There was no pausing and so forth. Same with Roger Mayweather. They answered questions a lot quicker, with little pausing, right away. Their speech was clearer too.

But now that they are much older, some of that damage they took in the ring has shown up. It's just like a lag time they have in saying what they want to say. Like with Floyd Sr, he knows what he wants to say, but it takes him some time to get the words out.

Whereas with guys like James Toney, he's still relatively young. Suffers from slurring, but doesn't have no pausing and having to gather his thoughts. That kinda thing happens more with old age naturally. But being that they took damage in the ring, it happens earlier for them. Instead of it happening at age 80 or 90, it's happening at 60.

      Just my opinion though.

This. I don't think roger can either. It's no surprise Floyd can't string together sentences or read.

Floyd Sr. is not slow, uneducated is different from being slow.

I met him a few years back and talked to him and i was surprised how sharp he was actually.

The dementia i am sure is not helping his speech, but the man is not slow
