You are correct- Manny fought very aggressively. To assume he can do the same with an opponent who is faster and has a longer reach than this opponent is silly.

Aggressively and intelligently are 2 different things. If you feel this display is something that deserves recognition-ok. It was impressive.

But winning the battle is means little when it causes you to lose the war.
    6 x 3 is 18. 18 minutes + a 2 decade long career and a decade of being a World Champion.

What does it matter what you do in a fight before it ends? If you can't answer that question, then you're obviously not here for boxing, and more likely you're here because you have a crush on a boxer.

Not before it ends dude, before you lose. you are talking about this fight, why bring up his career?

The way he fought-while impressive-contributed to his losing. Its just that simple.

You are one of these clowns that has the mentality that "dying on the battlefield in a blaze of glory" is honorable. when you have actually been in combat you know coming home in one piece is what is really honorable.

Is forcing your opponent to wear the gloves you pick honorable?

Lol, Jr. has only faced opponents with speed that were mental midgets. Other than that it's the same opponent always. Slow moving, heavy hander fighters who look for that 1 big shot.
He stays away from Pac because Pac has tons of remedies for Jr's predictable style that looks great against slowmos. Pac's speed, power, fighting spirit, will to win, aggression, awkward angle punching, volume punching, and trainer all present huge difficulties for Jr. the likes he has never seen before. If Jr. has any chance to beat Pac, it's now where Pac has slowed down tremendously. If Pac fought at 100mph before, he's at about 60 mph now, lol.

Am i the only one that thought both of them looked very sluggish in that fight?

It was a great fight, no doubt, but they both looked better in the previous outings. As i see it, they were both past their peaks and in decline when this fight happened.

They were both throwing wild and missing big, both looked slower than usual and not as sharp.

Pacquiao doesn't look as sharp as he once was since the Margarito fight. Its a testament to his greatness that even in decline and past his best, he's still abre to beat a top 5 P4P rated fighter in Bradley.

Ask ODH. That said, this post has nothing to do with your thread.

if you want to credit manny for the aggressiveness fine, as I stated it was impressive. It also put manny in a position to countered and KTFO! He simply lost his head and made a tactical error that contributed to him failing his overall objective-winning.

Floyd may have not seen this specifically from any opponent as manny is a unique fighter. But Floyd has seen plenty of opponents make mistakes and drop their hands when pressing for a KO like Manny did in this fight. He has taken advantage of those mistakes.

Here they looked amazing, both on their absolute physical prime. Sharp, powerful, fast as fu*ck.

He said himself he won't fight like that anymore, because it resulted in him getting KO'd.

Pacquiao's style is to take risks, risks create opportunities but also create openings. That's the gamble with Pacquiao's style. That doesn't make him any less dangerous to Mayweather. Pacquiao is dangerous to everyone he fights.

Some people are so sure Pacquiao doesn't stand a chance to win one time out of 10 fights but I don't see it that way.

Floyd has never been taken to deep waters. The closest is maybe against hatton and castillo. Pacquiao basically lives in deep waters.
