I don't think canelo would fight anyone else on that date other than cotto. Would make no sense and wouldn't compete with any Floyd fight. I think the powers that be have been grooming this fight. Oscar and bob are cool now, other than Floyd PAC, there is no bigger fight in boxing.

Nobody owns that early May Saturday. If Canelo wants to head his own card then he sure can and it's up to Floyd if he wants to compete with Canelo or fight on some other date. Why can Mayweather only fight on two dates each year? That's ridiculous. A good fight is a good fight any day of the year. I sure hope Khan doesn't get a Mayweather fight until he defeats a legitimate top 10 world ranked welterweight, preferably Brook. Khan has not defeated a top 10 world rated fighter any time in the last 3 years. He lost to Peterson and then was KOed by Garcia 26 months ago. Since then he has fought Molina who is not in the top 100 and Diaz who is not in the top 50 welterweights and Collazo who is not in the top 20 welterweights. How does that earn him a fight with Mayweather when others like Garcia deserve the fight more than Khan?

very well put, khan is not deserving of anthing atm hell I dont even think he deserves a brook fight you have to earn top fights with champions not jsut be handed them.

lol everyone knows that ti goes without saying lol. But showtime wont try to do that or Mayweather cause that means you not making the max potential cause now you dividing your earnings with another even that were potential customers.
