    ballsy move.

if juanma is on the networks [hbo and showtime,] he will make several hundred grand. the standard fee for a trainer is 10% of the purse before taxes and expenses. that's 10's of thousands of dollars that the trainer is turning down.

my hat goes off to juanma's trainer. juanma is done. he's one of the more shot, well known fighters in boxing. he doesn't belong in the ring any more. he can't take punches.

Sad situation but this is what needs to happen for Juanma's well being. We love you warrior... I'm a big Juanma fan. I have always rooted for him hard but it has gotten to a point where he has nothing left to offer and defend himself with.

You had a great run champ, the career was shorter than you and we fans would have liked but you left your mark and made some good money. Sit down with a financial advisor, do your research, and invest some of that money. Enjoy the retirement man!

Sucks but it has come to that point, you tough and all that but dude your hella young and have a future beside boxing and you dont need to take this damage back to back.

I've always been a Juanma fan, his vulnerability made him exciting to watch.
He's shot now though and his vulnerability is uncomfortable to watch..he's buzzed with every shot that lands.

I was surprised he fought so quickly after his last KO loss. Respect to his trainer as he has made the right call..hopefully Juanma follows suit.
