I'm actually surprised that fans didn't pick up on Figueroa's improved defense in the last fight vs Estrada. He had some good moves going there, made Estrada miss alot. And Matthysse isn't that fast. So I would give him a slight chance. Kid has a set though. Gotta respect him for that alone.

Maybe I need to rewatch it but from what I remember his head movement was comical. He would attempt to sway from side to side but Estrada was able to play target practice and hit him damn near every time he threw.

Omar's brittle hands aren't built for a challenge in the magnitude Matthysse brings. He won't be able to keep him off him and Matthysse would walk through Omar's shots and unload, ultimately bringing him down. Matthysse by KO under 6.

Omar, would become pretty incapable at 140, he will not carry his power up, and his hands are already brittle.

I also really like this kid, he is never in a boring fight and has the warrior mentality going. The problem with him fighting a puncher is he is VERY hittable and until he gets better at moving his head he should stay at 135 and maybe fight a guy with power to test his chin in combat before moving up and getting in the ring with "a machine" like Matthysse.
