Comments Thread For: Khan: Mayweather Does Not Have The Power To Hurt Me

Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) is campaigning hard to get a crack at WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs). After sitting ringside at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and watching Mayweather win a twelve round decision over Marcos Maidana on Saturday night - Khan feels even more confident of being able to hand Mayweather his first defeat.

I'm a big Mayweather supporter but I've said for a couple of years now that Khan can probably beat Floyd.

Floyd next fight is 8 months from now.

Save your rhetorics, Amir, when it comes atleast a little closer to May '15.

Only problem with what Amir is saying is that Floyd has never been outboxed either. And has fought better comp than Khan.

Neither have been outboxed, but one of them has faced better competition and is undefeated. The other has been down more than Skin Diamond. I'm going with the undefeated guy.

Floyd is just too smart for Khan, and will have time to think. He wont be ambushed and mugged like Chino did. Khan will try to box, and khan will lose, and then he'll retire. He's based his entire career off of being the guy to beat Floyd.

Once that doesnt come true, I can't see him wanting to box anymore.

You expect any fighter to talk like Khan just did. Khan didnt say anything different than any other fighter has in the past. What I can say is that Mayweather did look slow in Maidana II fight. Mayweather was getting hit with sloppy punches that he usually he doesnt get hit with. This was the first time I can say Floyd looked old

One important thing Khan doesn't realize is that the length of Floyd's arms is 72" a whole inch over Khan and I think that will make a big difference the way Floyd uses angles in fights I see Floyd countering over Khans jab and picking him off all night.....

And Khan can't hurt Floyd either Maidana hit him flush right on the chin at the end of the 3rd round a punch would of had Khan out cold...

                  Yes he does.

Julio Diaz moved up and dropped Khan heavily. Mayweather's accurate counters would hurt him, and he would stop him.

Didnt this guy get dropped by Julio Diaz? I say Keith Thurman vs Khan, winner gets the shot/. Kahn needs to fight someone tough to earn his shot.
