a lot of fighters dont follow the corner's advice. they mostly fight on instinct. very few boxers are versatile enough to change their style and do something else to win in the middle of a fight.

i think if a boxer has trained for so many weeks or even months on a set plan and all of a sudden getting told to change it on a drop of a needle is very hard to do so i cant blame jeff for not doing as he was told
