    New Generation Of Boxing

Is it just me or all the young prospects/stars are flat footed and dont have any type of footwork? Great examples imo are Broner and Errol Spence

Yeah, i think the amateur scoring system is so watered down compared to a few decades ago, that it produces alot of raw fighters..

Who cares? the less runners the better, we're not trying to get bored ******.

Would watch Broner any day of the week over a Bradley fight, a Lara fight or last night's fight.

And these prospects get no favors by being matched up with tomato cans in their first 20-25 fights...

Look at the records of marlon starling, donald curry, mccallum, etc.. they all faced the occasional challenge working their way up.. compare that to broner, wilder, verdejo, etc.. these guys arent being tested in the least bit.. Look at dulorme,, never fought anyone til abregu, and got brutally exposed

I hope Eastern Europe keeps pumping out the kovalev's and GGG's. We need more of those savage bastards.

Groves, Frampton, Galahad, Yafai...none of these guys are flat footed.

I think the American amateur system has stagnated over the last 20 years or so and the schooling they receive just isn't good enough, which is why in the US, a lot of young fighters are trying to pull the Floyd imitation but are too slow and their footwork is almost non-existent.

So if somebody is using his footwork to get out of the danger he is a runner?

Broner arguably lost to Fernando Quintero so I'd call that a test.

                  I agree in general though.
