Comments Thread For: Maidana: Mayweather is Beatable, You Have To Attack

Undefeated five-division champion Floyd Mayweather Jr claimed a unanimous decision in a feisty encounter against Marcos Maidana to successfully defend two world titles and improve his record to 47-0 on Saturday.

In just the second rematch of his 18-year career, the 37-year-old came out on top on all three scorecards, retaining his World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight belts.

The victory was another masterful showcase of evasion from Mayweather, widely regarded as one of the best defensive fighters of all-time, as he danced out of danger and used his lightning counter punching to great effect.

Mayweather is very beatable at this stage of his career, very beatable.

Maidana had two chances and came up short both times.

And if he really believes he won the fight he needs to see a Psychiatrist.

Maidana is funny. He keeps saying things like this, yet got beat worse than the first time. If he's beatable, why didn't you BEAT HIM?

I can't see how he truly believes he won. As far as Mayweather being beatable at this stage In his career, I completely agree. A decent puncher that can cut off the ring with speed will give him all he can handle.

Mayweather channeled his inner alexander/klitchko. Probably held maidana more than land clean shots the whole fight. Anyone when mayweather doesn't get off first and you throw combinations he really does stay in that shell.

i agree. And mayweather is hitable but noy beatable. In my opinion there's only one fighter that has a shot. Cotto. Thats it.

Floyd gave him his chance the first fight, he didn't move around suffered a cut , got roughed up and still came out ok. this fight he moves around, fights smarter, took a couple serious shots trying to exchange and people wanna still say floyds done, he looked bad etc. etc. people are so used to him schooling people that when its anything other hes slacking. boxing isn't easy, maidana needs to go beat up some top welters so people can remember that hes no easy fight.
