There is a lot of potentially exciting fights that he could be involved in. I'd love to see how the likes of Thurman, Brook, Bradley and Porter would be able to deal with his awkward style.

No announcement yet.
It'd be a crying shame if Maidana were too retire at this moment in time.

I wouldn't be surprised honestly. Last night he didn't fight with much urgency, regardless of the ref or what Floyd did. He came out very lethargic and seemed disinterested to really win the fight convincingly. I think he's happy he's made two good paydays and can take care of his family. He seems like a simple kinda guy, not flashy, so he'll probably make that money stretch for a long time. It would be a shame to see him hang 'em up now though. I think he should rematch Broner and even Khan for two more good paydays then bow out. Up to Chino though!

Well there is a ton out there for him so even coming off that lackluster performance he still vastly raised his profile with the fights against Floyd.
Still it really comes down to him and if he still has that fire, it is easy to say there is stuff available as the iron is pretty hot for him, but that fire does not usually choose to most opportune time to die out.

I don't think he lasts for that many more fights, just because of his style. If he fights guys like Guerrero, Thurman, Porter, it will be an all-out war. Where he's going to receive a lot more punishment.
But I doubt he'll fight a serious contender the next time around unless it's for a lot of money.
