    Just re watched floyd/maidana 2..

I just finished re watching the fight and noticed a couple key things,
-floyd still has his legs and doesn't need to retire .. Despite what some goofs think
-floyd is slowing down in the sharpness department (natural for a fighter of his age and style)
-floyd still has an amazing chin..being caught flush at the end of end 6 or so shows this..
-khan still can't beat him (shoe shine punches and footwork are enough for him)
**floyd needs to make the pacman fight and stay away from young fighters with speed and power (sorry Amir khan fans but that boy has glass jaw and not enough skill)

All in all still a great performance by floyd .. And anyone who says otherwise is just drinking some serious haterade

Mayweathers foot speed is as slow as Hopkins foot speed now.
    Compare on contrast for yourself:

I don't see any young fighter beating him tbh, landing random right hands and jabs here and there don't get you victory. And you aren't seriously suggesting that there's a fighter out there that can outbox him?

His overall physicality has declined no doubt 06-07 Mayweather was his welterweight prime.

its only Floyds cautious fans who want him to retire to preserve his zero. Lets face it he could fight another 4 years at least, him not getting hit his whole career must have prolonged his career at least a little bit, otherwise whats the point of not being hit much? Plus his career breaks and layoffs and retirements.
But the idea of having a loss or two is just to unbearable for FLoyd fans, which could happen if he fought all the credible opponents out there.

Pac isn't what he was but hes still fighting and don't threaten retirement after every fight. Floyd is retiring in 2 fights time so what all the fuss about

When was the last time you saw a welterweight boxer fighting past the the age of 40?

Mayweather looked a shadow of his former self last night. He was holding on for dear life on the inside throughout the whole fight. That isn't the Floyd we know and love (as a boxer). There is no way he is making it through 2015 undefeated.

Mayweather's chin is vastly underrated. It doesn't happen often but when he does get hit flush by a big puncher he always seems unflappable.

Floyd's reflexes have also slowed down quite a bit. I was surprised that Maidana was hitting him with his jabs sometimes. Floyd still has an amazing chin though. That straight right that Maidana landed at the end of the 3rd (or was it 4th?) would have knocked out anybody else.

Boy oh boy...you just show once again why you are among the very worst posters ever seen at this site. What's the point of not getting hit much in a boxing match? How about to win? How about to not get KTFO? How about to not get hurt, wobbled, stunned, knocked down, lose points, lose rounds, or lose a match?

If you think fighters, Mayweather in particular, don't try to get hit much only to prolong their career and that if they didn't care about how long it went, then they'd be happy to take huge shots to the face all the time, you're a moron.

No fighter likes to get hit. They try to avoid if they can, but some can't so they try to give more than they take, but most try to get hit as little as possible while doing their own damage.

That's how you win a boxing match.
