You must be a Roy Jones fan. I promise not to say anything about Roy Jones.
Wlad should sign with Don King...

Actually he's been TKO'd twice in his last 5 outings. Go rewatch the Wlad v. Shufford fight and tell me what was so different besides the KD between that fight and the Williamson fight.Originally posted by DudeWell, he's been TKOed twice in his last three outings. And he was down again in his last one even if it was just a balance shot. And unlike Roy Joney he's never dominated a devision nor been thrown in the mix as the best fighter of his time. And there's a little age and weight difference as well. Plus Williamson is not quite like a bigger Tarver or Johnson.
If you don't know anything else to strengthen your point this comparison certainly wont help you. Wladimir showed bad form in his last three fights, I don't feel like hes completly shot either but you have to look at it a bit more objective. If he doesn't do anything convincing in his next fights he'll be gone. And rightly so.Comment

You mean last two televised fights? Wlad did have two knockoutOriginally posted by DudeWell, he's been TKOed twice in his last three outings. wins between Sanders and Brewster. Wlad does not need King to win, people just need to look at him as a top contender and not the heir to LL's thrown. If Wlad was not fighting with all that pressure, he may do alot better.Comment

No, I just respect his achievements. I'm not a Bernard Hopkins fan either but I respect him for what he did. Right now Wladimir certainly doesn't deserve as much as respect as them.Originally posted by WinterYou must be a Roy Jones fan. I promise not to say anything about Roy Jones.
This being said I was wrong about him being TKOed in his last three fights. But if you're honest the tune ups between Sanders and Brewster are hard to count.
It's not hard to see the talent that Wladimir has. But talent alone doesn't make a champion or a great fighter. Talentwise he's classes above Byrd, Ruiz and the rest of the bunch. Anyway they have the titles around their waste.
As I stated before, if Wladimir wants to make another real run at the titles he has to do something convincing in his next fights. He's in a questionable downward spiral right now. And I haven't seen a lot of fighters comeing back from those.
No excuses anymore, if he doesn't show pieces of his talent in his next fights and prove that he's more then a shot fighter he has to retire if he wants to be remembered as a fighter of some class.Comment

I guess this means you didn't watch the Shufford fight.Comment

No I didn't. I watched a lot of Wladimirs fights and some of Shuffords on Eurosport though. It was a missmatch or as we like to say in our time a "tune-up". Nothing more. Whats the point?Originally posted by NeuraxisI guess this means you didn't watch the Shufford fight.Comment

The point is Wlad looked like nothing special against Shufford also because its really hard to look good against an opponent who runs away from you the whole fight.Originally posted by DudeNo I didn't.
