yea i think hes a brawler, but im not in the crowd that calls him a face first c level fighter. hes not a ruslan. hes a top welter. i think canelo is a heavier puncher then maidana however,, i think floyd himself even said this

I don't think he is as smart as you think. After the Point Deduction, and knowing that he had Floyd shook after his early straight right, Maidana should had focused and getting closer and setting up a KO shot. He kept on trying to box with him and only had mild success.

He didn't throw his hooks as weirdly/wildly or as often as he did in the Broner fight or in the 1st fight.

It never happens "quickly." It just always looks like that.

Dude really? Calling a 17 year old ****** for asking a question about a boxer who's aging. At least you taught him one thing, never to request your input about ish.....

Not as easy as it looks. Bayless barely let them fight out of the clinch unlike Tony Weeks which clearly threw Maidana off his game. Mayweather to his credit was not on the ropes either which is where Maidana through most of threw most of those shots in the 1st fight. Mayweather would clinch and duck below the waist whenever Maidana got close.

Garcia even said as much. He told Maidana to avoid throwing those overhand shots especially in the center of the ring because Mayweather obviously would be much more prepared for it the 2nd time around. The only thing you have left after that is Maidana chasing Floyd around like a lost puppy since he was not allowed to do anything that gave him success in the 1st fight.

He also had a better ref in the first fight. There is nobody to blame but Team Maidana. How did they let Kenny Bayless get the nod for the job? They should have asked for Robert Byrd or Hell Jay Nady but KB is too hands on and too quick to break up inside fighting. We paid too much money to watch the referee break up the action every 20 seconds.

Maidana is better than Guerrero. Canelo is more of a one trick pony than Maidana as well. Just goes to show you that cherry picking eventually runs you into someone who can do certain things better than you expect.

the fight basically was the same minus yea the fact he was not allowed to fight inside at all which was a key thing for him the first time around. result of that volume and punches landed dampened for both fighters esp maidana

thinking back you may be right. i had forgotten guerrero was getting busted up by some pedestrian c level k-pop singer lookin dude from japan.

guerrero actually in the past looked pretty good but now looks like a glorified brandon rios
